Dart Warzone: Prototype
A downloadable game for Windows
About:
Dart Warzone is an upcoming foam-flinging fps game, being developed by Code Red Game Studio. This game is in an early prototype state, and things are subject to change over time.
Personalization:
- Custom Usernames, up to 20 digits.
- Shirt Color Selection.
- Hat Selection.
- Blaster Loadout Selection.
- Calling Card Selection.
Features:
- Map Rotation (TEST): When a room is created, a random map will be selected.
- 3 Maps: Field, Town, and Floating Islands.
- 9 Different Blasters, with 6 unique blasters, to choose from. More to come soon.
- 6 Different Shirts to choose from.
- 3 Different game modes, with more on the way.
- Up to 10 Players per room! This will be expanded in the future, if the game gains enough attention.
- Dart Gravity: When a blaster is shot, the darts will fall, just like in real life.
- Very Minimal HUD, to closely resemble real life dart wars.
Game Modes:
Rush - have a guardian prototype blaster, and a 12 dart capacity. The first player to confirm 3 tags without getting tagged wins!
Humans VS Zombies - Don't get tagged by the zombies, or you become one. Humans must complete a series of objectives, and survive a final stand timer of 60 seconds to win.
One Flag FFA - Capture the Flag, but with a big twist... you're on your own. Capture 1 flag to win.
Controls:
- KBM: WASD = Move, Shift = Sprint, Space = Jump, R = Reload, E = Calling Card, Left Click = Shoot, Right Click = Aim.
Bugs:
- When a player walks/runs into a block, they can go through it, or jump in it to go flying to certain areas of the map. (This may be added as a feature in the game. This bug will be left alone for now.)
- Occasionally, duplicate players will be instantiated. This is being investigated, and will be fixed some time soon, (hopefully...) (FIXED)
Things that need to be fixed/changed/added:
- A Game Patch Tool, so I don't have to keep releasing new versions, that the user has to redownload in order to play the latest version. (USING Butler AS OF 9/10/21.)
- Classes (ADDED 1/29/2021...)
- More blaster variety. (As of 5/30/2021. 5 blasters are in the game. As of 12/24/2021, 9 blasters are in the game.)
- UI UPDATE.
- BETTER RELOAD ANIMATIONS (ADDED 2/3/2021...)
- Firing Animations (ADDED 3/9/2021...)
- More spawn points, and areas to spawn at.
- Mac / Linux support, as well as Xbox, or PlayStation support. (Working on Mac Support.)
- Some sort of way to end the game when an objective has been reached. Ex: All humans have been converted to a zombie, someone reaches a tag score of 5, etc. (ADDED 3/23/2021...)
- Custom Usernames (Added 3/31/2021...)
- Blaster customization / modification. (ADDED CUSTOMIZATION 12/24/2021...)
- More map variety. (As of 5/8/2021, there are 3 maps.)
- Expanded Servers with 20+ Players per room (maybe one day... when I have money.)
- More Game Modes (As of 9/1/2021, there are 3 Game Modes.)
- Objectives in Humans VS Zombies. (ADDED 10/24/2021...)

Install instructions
WINDOWS:
- Download the zip folder.
- Extract to desired location.
- Open DartWarzone.exe
- If you get a pop up that says windows defender protected your pc, click "Run Anyway."
WINDOWS (itch.io app):
- Click Install
- Install to desired location, click Install.
- Click Launch.

Wow, this is not a bad game!
Thank you, that really means a lot. The game is not very active, which is unfortunate, but I plan on having playtest sessions soon, with each pre-release, so hopefully I can get more feedback from each session.
